This November we are celebrating Picton Swimming Pool’s 50th Anniversary. The original pool was called the “Shire of Wollondilly War Memorial Swimming Pool” and officially opened on the 11th November 1969.

Demand for a local swimming pool was strong in the 1960’s with a group of locals formed a swimming pool committee. Their aim was to raise $20,000 contribution to build the Picton Swimming Pool.
Although it’s undergone some upgrades over the years, the original pool remains today with the outdoor pool about to open for it’s 50th year of summer swimming.
To celebrate we are having a Community Open Day on Saturday 9th November with free entry, inflatables and activities for the whole community.
